The Philippines is a vibrant Southeast Asian archipelago of over 7,000 islands in the western Pacific, known for its diverse geography ( volcanoes, mountains, coasts) and rich blend of indigenous, Spanish, and American cultures, with a predominantly Christian population speaking Filipino and English. Officially the Republic of the Philippines, its capital is Manila, located on the largest island, Luzon, with major divisions including Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, and it’s famous for its unique biodiversity, tropical climate, and resilience due to being on the Ring of Fire.
